“My greatest gift is stupidity. I’m too stupid to recognize when something is impossible.”
–Ken Robertson
About all those possibilities.
Here I am, watching it snow outside, hugging my warm coffee mug while I write. It’s March now but it still seems far away from Spring.
I did this painting a while ago in airbrush on canvas. Looking at it today makes me feel warm inside and out. The golden light. The peaceful sound of the waterfall. The possibilities in that pan. The miner just knows what he is looking for and that he will find it. Maybe not in this pan, but the next one. Or the next. There’s something lofty about that sense of expectation.
Some may scoff at the silly old fool for wasting his time and think the odds are low he will find anything at all. But they just don’t get it.
Author Mandy Hale wrote, “When nothing is certain, anything is possible.”
Never let your fear decide your fate. There’s gold out there whether it’s in head or heart or goals or dreams. Today I dream of Spring and all the possibilities.
“More gold has been mined from the thoughts of men than has been taken from the earth.”
–Napoleon Hill
